State and County Parks

Did you know Door County is home to 5 state parks and 19 county parks? Don’t miss the aerial views from Peninsula State Park’s Eagle Tower, an 850-foot fully accessible canopy walk to the top of the 60-foot-high tower! Further north, Newport State Park is a designated Dark Sky Park perfect for star-gazing. We like Cave Point County Park or Ellison Bluff County Park for their awe-inspiring views of the massive limestone cliffs, part of the Niagara Escarpment. *Additional Parks listed below *

Check out the colorful selection of women’s clothing at Spot (locations in Egg Harbor and Sister Bay) or Patricia Shoppe in Egg Harbor. Blue Dolphin House or Space on the north end of Ephraim feature an eclectic mix of home and garden accents. Island Lavender Company is the Midwest’s largest lavender market! Beach People, with locations in Ephraim and Fish Creek, is a fun family shop featuring apparel, housewares, toys and more. Fine Line Designs Gallery & Sculpture Garden features original paintings, glass, jewelry and pottery. Head to Fish Creek – Door County’s shopping hub – walk around Founder’s Square and visit a variety of locally owned stores.

Lighthouses

There are 11 lighthouses in Door County! Some of our favorites in Northern Door County are the easily accessible Eagle Bluff Lighthouse in Peninsula State Park. The beautiful Ridges Sanctuary is home to the Baileys Harbor Range Lights – the grounds are open to the public, but the structures are not. It’s always an adventure accessing the Cana Island Lighthouse in Baileys Harbor. When the lake level is low enough you may walk across a stone causeway or wade through on foot. When the water level is high a wagon ride is provided.
