Door County is open for business! To ensure the tourism industry can stay open and continue serving visitors throughout the 2021 season and beyond, we ask all visitors to travel responsibly. Be patient and be kind. We all love Door County, and by taking precautions we can keep it a welcoming place for all.
Bay Breeze Resort is accepting reservations for all dates through October 31, 2021! Please book by phone (920-854-9066) or online. If there’s a particular business you’d like to visit while you’re here, we highly recommend reaching out to them prior to your visit. Door County will look a little different than it has in the past. Bay Breeze Resort has taken enhanced health and safety measures (outlined below) in an effort to keep our guests, team members and community safe. Having said that, an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. By choosing to travel you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19. Please join with us in helping to keep each other healthy. We can’t wait to see you!
The following is a compilation of best practices from the Centers for Disease Control, State of Wisconsin, American Hotel & Lodging Association and Door County Public Health Department. These guidelines are not mandated and instead represent our commitment to keep our guests, employees and community safe.
All guests are required to check-in and register (contactless check-in available upon request). We have installed a glass barrier in our office to protect both our team members and guests. Our office is small, so we ask that foot traffic be limited to one group at a time. If you see another group in the office, please wait outside until they’ve been helped. Due to the added time it takes to prepare and sanitize each room, we are unable to provide early check-ins. Your room will be ready at 3:00pm. Room keys are sanitized after each guest.
Personal Protective Equipment
Effective May 17, 2021: Door County Public Health Advisory Regarding Face Coverings: In accordance with the new CDC and Wisconsin Department of Health Services guidance, fully vaccinated people can resume the activities they did before the pandemic, including participating in indoor and outdoor activities (large and small) without wearing a mask or physically distancing. Door County Public Health encourages organizations to adopt policies that align with the new CDC/DHS guidelines and supports the decision of any business or organization that continues to require masking for the safety of their staff and patrons.
In anticipation of individual concerns of guests, housekeeping shall not enter a guest room during a stay unless specifically requested (and when guests are not in the room). We will make accommodation for fresh bath towels daily, along with anything else you may need replenished.
Cleaning of Public Spaces & Communal Areas
Public spaces and communal areas will be cleaned and disinfected throughout the day with an emphasis on hard surfaces.
Guest Rooms & Bay View Lodge Rental Home
All our beds are triple sheeted and all linens are laundered after each guest. Accent pillows have been removed from beds.
Cleaning and Disinfecting Guest Rooms & Bay View Lodge Rental Home
Our cleaning and disinfecting protocols pay particular attention to high-touch items. Carpeting and other material surfaces in guest rooms are treated with an active ingredient that has been proven by the EPA to be effective against broad spectrum viruses.
We ask our team members and guests to engage in frequent hand washing using soap and water for a minimum of 20 seconds. We encourage the use of hand sanitizer when hand washing is not available.
Temperature checks are performed on all our team members before their shifts begin and temperatures are documented. We ask our team members and guests to please stay home if you are feeling sick. We are happy to work with you to reschedule your visit as soon as you are feeling better.
