Unwind, Indulge and Relax at Our Waterfront Resort in Door County!
Winter has flown by and Bay Breeze Resort’s 20th Anniversary Season starts the end of this month! Our waterfront resort in Door County welcomes you April 23-October 31.
We have lots of new projects underway, including our most exciting addition in 2015: an electric vehicle charging station! We are already a proud Travel Green Wisconsin Silver Leader. The addition of an electric vehicle charging station compliments the green initiatives we’ve already implemented, such as solar panels for water heating, energy efficient LED light bulbs and a controlled irrigation system. The charging station will be open for use and free of charge to any of our guests this season. We are excited to be the first waterfront resort in Door County to offer this cutting edge convenience to our customers!
Please check our website for more on Bay Breeze Resort. We recently added a spring special: stay two nights and get a third night free! We look forward to hosting you in beautiful Door County.

Ephraim’s 50th Annual Fyr Bal Festival – Saturday, June 21, 2014
Ephraim’s pillar festival, “Fyr Bal” turns 50 this year! Norwegian for “bonfire” Fyr Bal Festival recreates traditions of Ephraim’s early Norwegian settlers celebrating Midsummer’s Eve. Join us Saturday, June 21 for artisans, food, musical entertainment and family activities along the picturesque shoreline of Eagle Harbor. A signature Fyr Bal event, evening bonfires represent the burning of the ‘Winter Witch’ and welcome summer. Fireworks complete the day. Book a room at Bay Breeze Resort and watch the bonfires and fireworks from your balcony overlooking the Door County Waterfront! A warm Scandinavian welcome awaits you in Ephraim any time of the year, but especially so during Fyr Bal Festival.

We are renovating six additional rooms (painting, carpeting, tile and bedding!), freshly updating and redecorating the last of our 29 rooms. It’s a great time to stay at the Bay Breeze Resort!

Introducing our newest team member
Rachel Willems has joined the Bay Breeze Resort team as our Director of Operations & Marketing.
Rachel was born and raised in Door County and spent the last six years working as Tourism Administrator for the Ephraim Business Council. You may have seen her at an Evenings in Ephraim concert in the park, planning Fyr Bal Festival or working at the Ephraim Visitor Information Center. Rachel was voted Door County’s Certified Tourism Ambassador, of the Year in 2012. Rachel will play an important role in making your visit to Bay Breeze Resort a pleasant one. Discover the serenity of a Door County winter
Things quiet down in Northern Door County this time of year. It’s a snow-covered beautiful, very different than what you see during the busy summer season.
Cross country skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling and ice fishing are popular activities for locals as well as visitors during the winter. Our neighbor, Peninsula State Park, is a 3,700+ acre winter wonderland. The serenity of the trails and the crunch of the snow beneath your feet provide a unique winter experience.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
Popular dates will fill up quickly at Ephraim motels and resorts
It seems strange to think about during one of the coldest Decembers ever, but the Krause family and the rest of the Bay Breeze Resort team already are preparing for the 2014 season as a popular Ephraim motel and resort.
We open our doors for the season on April 24, 2014, and the Door County Half Marathon and Nicolet Bay 5K get things started with a bang the first weekend of May. This very popular event through beautiful Peninsula State Park sold out two months early last year, and organizers expect it to fill even faster this year.
Our convenient location near the park makes us a popular Ephraim motel home base for runners and their families, so you’ll want to race to the Reservations page on our website to secure your room as soon as possible.
If it’s been awhile since your last visit, you’ll appreciate the new flat-screen TVs in all 27 of our rooms, and we’ll finish our expanded parking lot with blacktop this year. We’re also planning some remodeling and two new rooms to bring our total to 29.
Have a great Christmas season, and we look forward to seeing you in the spring.
